Who works here, and where their experience comes from

TF Financial Services is not a law firm with departments, but rather an experienced financial management firm backed by a network of specialists—and committed to ensuring that you always know who is responsible for your case.

Tilo Frenzel

Tilo Frenzel, founder of TF Financial Services

Twenty-eight years in financial management, most of them as CFO—in Frankfurt, London, and Zurich; based in Switzerland since 2007. Responsible for balance sheets totaling up to one billion Swiss francs. Audit committees on both sides of the table: as the presenter and as a member. Financing negotiations as well—sometimes on the side seeking capital, sometimes on the side evaluating it.

Add to that risk management and governance in a regulated environment: For the Swiss division of a major international bank, I established a comprehensive risk management framework—spanning all subsidiaries and organizational units. Anyone who has experienced the standards applied by a regulatory authority will think differently afterward—even when dealing with an SME audit firm.

Added to this is something that’s rare in this context: technical expertise. Cloud-based accounting, automation, AI-powered analysis. Not as an end in itself, but because much of traditional financial work can no longer be justified when done manually.

How I Work

The Company

Company
TF Financial Services GmbH

Im Herrenholz 35, 8122 Binz (ZH)

SMEs and startups throughout Switzerland

For services that require specialization, I work with partners—including Run my Accounts for digital bookkeeping and Infoniqa for payroll. Your point of contact remains the same throughout the process.

How the Work Is Divided

Financial management is all about making judgments: determining which figures support a decision, identifying what truly constitutes a risk, and assessing when a plan is sound. These judgments remain in one place—responsibility for your mandate does not shift from one person to another.

Processing, on the other hand, belongs where specialization and volume make a difference. Payroll is handled by a dedicated team at Infoniqa, digital bookkeeping by the specialized teams at Run my Accounts, and for technical questions—taxes, legal matters, industry-specific issues—a network of partners is available. In addition, automation is used wherever it makes financial sense.

This gives you the best of both worlds: the transparency and accessibility of a small team, backed by enough capacity to ensure that a payroll run or financial closing doesn't depend on a single person.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is working on my case?

Leadership is centralized and remains that way—you always know who is in charge. Accounting, payroll, and specialized technical matters are handled by partners who are specifically equipped to handle them. Who is responsible for which part is determined at the outset and does not change along the way.

What happens if the person in charge is unavailable?

A question worth asking. Ongoing processes—accounting, payroll, and payment cycles—are handled by partners with their own teams and continue to run independently. For financial management itself, there is a network of colleagues through which coverage is organized. For clients with critical dependencies, we document the coverage arrangements in writing.

Are you a licensed fiduciary or auditor?

TF Financial Services provides fiduciary and CFO services. The statutory audit is conducted by a licensed auditing firm—this must remain separate for reasons of independence, and this separation is also in your best interest.

Can I speak with some references?

As a general rule, I do not disclose client names—not even as a reference—unless the client gives their consent. If a conversation is important to your decision, I will ask you specifically about it; I will not disclose any information without being asked. The same discretion applies to you as well.
